Grand Theft Auto III 10-Year Anniversary Video

I feel so old. I remember it like it was f'n yesterday.

Check out the GTAIII Anniversary Limited-Edition Claude Action Figure $149.99 pre order it here
The limited-edition Claude action figure will be available November 2011.

10 years ago, this month, the revolutionary open-world epic Grand Theft Auto III was released to the world – a game that set players loose as a small-time criminal at the bottom of the food chain in Liberty City, a sprawling metropolis where anything can happen – and probably will.

To commemorate the game’s 10th anniversary, Rockstar Games is proud to present this limited edition action figure of lead character Claude, an ex-con out for revenge in a city filled with mobsters, street gangs and cops on the take.

Found running the streets of Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto III, Claude rose from a small-time bank robber who is betrayed by his girlfriend to a big-time gangster ready to get revenge.

Produced in partnership with Sideshow Collectibles – Renowned toy manufacture revered by collectors around the world. This fully articulated 1:6 scale action figure of Claude comes dressed in his original attire of cargo pants and a bomber jacket, but he can also sport his iconic Liberty City Prison-issued jumpsuit (supplied).

Claude comes equipped with an arsenal of classic weapons from Grand Theft Auto III including a bat, knife, grenades, pistol, sniper rifle, and assault rifles.

Is anyone else kinda excited about this? (Sims 3 Pets)

I dunno if anyone out there plays the Sims 3 other than me. Nor do I care. It's a dope game so it's like...whatevs, you know? Anywho, Sims 3 pets is set to drop 10/18/2011, and I am pretty geeked up about it. It looks like it'll add cats, dogs, and horses to the game along with some other perks and features like all the other add ons, including 6 new Karma Powers. At this point, I've customized my game to the point where everything looks so cool; from name brand shoes and cars to modern style couches and nudity. Check out the free demo @ EA.

Munitio x Call of Duty MW3 Earphones

The Call of Duty gaming franchise has undoubtedly been an absolute juggernaut in the gaming landscape and with its imminent release in November, we are sure to see a slew of products done in collaboration with Modern Warfare 3. This project here between San Diego’s Munitio and MW3 makes for a perfect match. Munitio’s 9mm bullet earphones, which dropped last year, have been updated here in 2011 with the Billets TM 9mm tactical earphones model done up with MW3 branding. This is a sport version coming in at a lower price point. These bad boys drop October 23rd, but are available now for pre-order at Munitio.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Rezurrection DLC Brings 5 New Zombie Maps Tonight

The contents of the Resurrection map pack -- which is in fact called Rezurrection -- have been detailed, and, as many fans have asked for, it's an all-Zombies update. There will be five maps: four remastered and updated maps from World at War (Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, and Der Riese), which were included with the Hardened and Prestige editions of Black Ops, and a new map called Moon.

It's hinted that things will be different on the Moon level (low gravity, perhaps?), but that information wasn't forthcoming. A bonus Moon dashboard theme for 360 is included with the DLC, as is the official soundtrack for Zombies map (plus three new tracks).

As for the Rezurrection name, Zombies creative lead Jimmy Zelinski told One of Swords, "You never know where hints and Easter eggs may appear in Zombies. What looks like a typo may be a typo... but it might also be the hidden truth behind everything.

The DLC will be available on August 23 on Xbox 360, and, given past trends, late September on PC and PS3. It will cost 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15) like the previous three map packs, but anyone who purchased the Hardened or Prestige editions (thereby granting them access to four of these five maps) will get the DLC for free.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Screens

A recently released packshot of the PC version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim carried a Games for Windows masthead, leaving some of the gaming community worried that it would also use the Games for Windows Live DRM system. Apparently, that's not the case: Bethesda's Pete Hines confirmed to PC Gamer that it wouldn't use GFWL, and the company's official Twitter account double confirmed that it would instead implement Steamworks. That is, like, so much confirmation.

If you don't really care about things like PC DRM solutions or, um, PCs in general, you might find the screenshots posted below a little more scintillating. There's a picture of a dog in one of them! A wonderful, wonderful dog.

PlayStation Vita has more RAM than PS3

More is always better, right? For Sony's upcoming PlayStation Vita portable, more RAM means it has some features that big brother PlayStation 3 doesn't: namely, cross-game chat, courtesy of the console's Party system. "So the reason why we were able to include something like Party, which enables cross-game voice chat," Sony Worldwide Studios prez Shuhei Yoshida told Eurogamer, "is because we designed Vita so it always has enough resources to handle something like that behind the game while it's running."

Sony has finally confirmed the specifications of the system's RAM, after rumors that the electronics giant had halved the RAM to better compete on price with the 3DS. "There were some rumours for the last few months. Some developer mentioned the RAM was halved. We never announced the amount of RAM, and we never changed it," Yoshida said. So in order to combat confusion, they went into Gamescom unafraid to share those details.

And, without further ado, we'll share those deets! The PlayStation Vita has 512MB of RAM and 128MB of V-RAM, compared to the PlayStation 3's 256MB of system RAM and 256MB of video RAM. While that's half of the PS3's video RAM, Yoshida reminds us that the resolution of the two platforms is very different. "The resolution on the PS Vita screen is much lower," he explained. "Even though it's four times the resolution of PSP, compared to the console, the amount of data you have to push is much smaller."

While this all sounds like good news, there is another reading: Since the Vita uses all that extra system RAM to allow for cross-game chat, one could assume Sony will remain unable to implement the long-requested feature on the PS3. Then again, nearly five years into the console's life, that inability should be pretty apparent to everyone by now. Source: Eurogamer

Gaming, Peripherals Mad Catz gears up for Gears of War with branded audio gear... gear.

Mad Catz has you covered with a trio licensed goodies, including a throat communicator, a stereo gaming headset and a 7.1 surround sound headset all decked out in the iconic blood-red and black of the franchise. The special edition of the surround sound set (above) is actually just a slightly updated version of the company's Tritton AX720 headgear with a new decoder box and an extra two channels of sound. Those who want to shout at their opponents without donning bulky ear-wear will likely gravitate towards the throat communicator. All three will launch alongside GOW3 on September 20 for $30, $100, and $180 respectively.
