HTC Rezound

When HTC took the wraps off the Rezound, it tipped us off to a November 14th launch for Verizon's Beats Audio-branded device. Now, it appears that those of you who jumped on the pre-order bandwagon are getting premature access to the red-and-black-tinged goods, with some units arriving as early as today. How'd this come about? Well, it seems a few eager beavers lucked out during the purchasing process, selecting overnight delivery and receiving the phones toute de suite. We can't promise you Big Red's still honoring this ordering quirk, but don't let that stop you from trying your luck. We have a feeling Dr. Dre would approve.

HTC EVO Design 4G

That HTC EVO Design 4G leaked a couple months ago? Oh, it's real -- and Sprint's finally ready to share its story with the world. The tale of the EVO Design 4G is simple enough: for a penny under $100, you can have a WiMAX-capable device with GSM roaming that features a 4-inch qHD (960 x 540) display, 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU, Android 2.3 with HTC Sense UI, Mobile Hotspot, a 5MP rear camera with HD video recording (720p, we presume) and a 1.3MP front-facing cam. In summary, the Design 4G is basically the Hero S with WiMAX and global roaming capabilities. Look for this device to show up online and in stores on October 23rd, and look after the break for the press release.

Available October 23rd for $100

White iPhone on Sale Tomorrow

Yep, now you can get the iPhone (aka human tracking device) in white. Neeto. According to reports this week, retailers in the United States and Europe are preparing to offer white iPhone 4s to the public. Earlier this week, 9to5Mac reported that leaked Best Buy inventory readouts indicated that the white iPhone would be made available tomorrow, Wednesday, April 27, while Engadget today posted photos of a shipment of the device after it had arrived to a Belgian retailer.

(SPRINT) Kyocera Echo Makes Its Debut

Sprint debuted the all-new Kyocera Echo at an event in New York City last night. And the phone does indeed get two separate touchscreens.
Each screen is a 3.5-inch WVGA touch display. The two screens are connected via a pivot hinge and can be used separately or combined together for a larger 4.7-inch display.
The screens operate in four separate modes: standard, which is your regular one-screen smartphone mode, tablet mode, which takes advantage of the larger combined screen, simultasking, which lets you use each screen individually for separate tasks, and optimized, which runs one task on both screens but uses one screen for the main view and the second screen as a complementary screen for controls and other aspects of the app.
Sprint will launch the Android 2.2 phone this spring for $199.99 with two-year contract. Since two screens = big battery drain, they’ll include a second, swappable battery in the box. As was rumored, it will be 3G, not 4G.
So whadda ya think? Do tablet/smartphone hybrids like this make sense, or are they just giving you the worst of both worlds (i.e. small, segmented tablet and big, heavy smartphone)? [via CNET

PSX games on the Droid! NICE!!

At it's big PlayStation event held today in Tokyo, Sony has revealed a program whereby "certified" PlayStation games will be made available for mobile phones.
Rather than be tied to a single device, like we've been seeing all along, Sony is calling this idea "PlayStation Suite", a mobile gaming platform of sorts designed for Android mobile phones.
With games bearing a "PlayStation Certified" tag, it aims to bring titles like original PS1 games (or their equivalent, we suppose?) to mobiles in a "hardware neutral game framework".
Among the first PS1 games to launch on the service will be Wild Arms, Cool Boarders 2, Rally cross, Medievil and Syphon Filter.
While designed for Android phones, the "PlayStation Suite" titles will also be available on the PSP2.
We'll get you more details - including what role the "PlayStation Phone" plays in all this - as they come to hand. For more, or the original article, go to GIZMODO

More good news, PSP phones confirmed

The only thing that'll stop me from getting one of these is the carrier...and the price of course...c'mon, i've got a PSP and a phone, so Im not gonna go all out, but this is very exciting!

FREEDOM FROM AT&T! The iPhone is coming to Verizon

That's right people, for all those tired of AT&T monopolizing the whole iphone game, its finally over. The new iPhone 4 is even rumored to have tweaks to make the design more comfortable for the user. For example moving the buttons on the side to the top so you don't hit them while you're talking! I cant wait! We'll see how AT&T does after this!

Japanese paper pegs PlayStation Phone for spring launch

This seems to be a very good thing..I just wonder if the 1) the graphics will be any better than a regular psp or a psp go.  2) How you will store games and how much room will be available 3) what the actual phone will be like, as far as apps and service...Guess only time will tell. I hope they make it so that you can play PS2 games too, but maybe that's asking too much.

HTC EVO Shift 4G headed for a January 9th launch at $150, according to RadioShack leak
