Are Dre Beats Overrated?

The pair I have (The ones on the top) are nice. I wear them at the desk and it tunes out the most annoying of coworkers, but for $150.00, it seems a little ridiculous. Maybe for the studio, but keep in mind I have the buds. Luckily, I didn't have to pay full price :D I have a pair of Bose Quiet Comfort 2's I bought for the studio before the beats came out, and honestly, I'm not convinced that Dre is doing better than Bose, even though his headphones cost more. Past actual beats (instrumentals) I think Dre is overrated.

L.A. Noire Review

8.5 Presentation
The story doesn't match the great performances. The "game" elements are sometimes distracting from the immersive environment.

8.0 Graphics
The faces are pretty damned awesome -- it's the actors, after all. L.A. in the ‘40s looks good. At times the framerate stutters and there are a few annoying graphical glitches here and there.

10 Sound
So much great voice work. The real star is the soundtrack.

8.5 Gameplay
Despite its flaws, L.A. Noire does something we've never seen before. It's too often repetitive and predicatble, but it's still enjoyable.

8.0 Lasting Appeal
Depending on how much time you devote to exploring the city, it will take anywhere from 12 to 20 hours to beat. Many won't find a reason to return.

8.5

Top 5 Tuner Cars under $5k

Considering the available mods, the price for parts and repair, and average price for a used one in 2011, these are my favorite tuner cars available for under 5k.

5. Nissan 240sx S13
The S13 was known for sharp steering and handling (thanks to front MacPherson struts and a rear multilink suspension) and relatively light weight (2700 lb) but was regarded in the automotive press as being underpowered.

4. Eclipse GS/ GST/ GSX
Eclipse GS FWD model equipped with a 140 hp (100 kW) 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Chrysler 420A engine. Eclipse GST FWD model equipped with a 210 hp (160 kW) turbocharged 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Mitsubishi 4G63 engine. Eclipse GSX AWD model equipped with a 210 hp (160 kW) turbocharged 2.0 L 16-valve DOHC Mitsubishi 4G63 engine.

3. Audi A4 (B5) Quattro
The Audi A4 was the first model in the Volkswagen Group to feature the new 1.8 litre 20v engine with five valves per cylinder, based on the unit Audi Sport had developed for their Supertouring race car. A turbocharged version produced 150 PS (110 kW; 148 bhp) and 210 newton metres (155 lb·ft) torque. This technology was added to the V6 family of engines in 1996, starting with the 2.8 litre V6 30v, which now produced 193 PS (142 kW; 190 bhp).

2. Honda Civic Si/EX
Going from 0-60 in 7.2 seconds, the 1999 Civic Si trim featured a 1.6-litre B16A2 engine that made 160 hp (120 kW) at 7,600 RPM and 111 ft-lbs of torque at 7,000 RPM.

1. Acura Integra GSR
Standard power from the B18B engine increased to 142 hp (105.9 kW), and the GS-R received the B18C1 VTEC engine, equipped with a dual-stage intake manifold, ported exhaust manifold and a displacement increase (from the second generation integra) from 1.7 liters to 1.8 liters, bringing power up to 170 hp (126.8 kW).

Games You Should Play: Red Dead Redemption + add ons

Rockstar is responsible (in my opinion) for some of the nicest games Out. Considering I still play GTA IV everyday, my opinion might be a little bias. However, Red Dead Redemption has proven to be a one of a kind title. There are other "Western" themed video games out there, but none of them hit the nail on the head like Rockstars Red Dead. This game really gives you the feeling of an old western movie minus some of the corney. This is one of the few games that make horse riding look realistic. Everything about this game screams dope ass western. The add on, which got a 10/10 I believe on IGN (very rare), takes a sweet ass game, and makes it even BETTER! This is a must have for anyone who owns games and doesn't rent. I beat it and I'm still playing.
