Plasticine Tatooine is a new book by illustrator, Elliott Quince which shows characters from Star Wars made from plasticine. Apart from his medium of choice, what also makes Quince’s project unique is that instead of concentrating on the leading roles, he decided to shine the light on the lesser-known characters.

“What I’ve decided to do, to make this project different, is to select a bunch of the more random cast members and imagine how bitter they must have been at not making it big, how badly they were treated on set or how cruelly their lives have panned out since the movies were released.”

This past Thursday, production began on “The Dark Knight Rises,” the third part of Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated Batman trilogy. In tandem Warner Bros. launched the official site thedarkknightrises.com and, through a #thefirerises Twitter hashtag campaign, unveiled a first look at Tom Hardy as Bane.
