Back to the Future Power Laces

The 1985 sci-fi comedy film, Back to the Future has inspired the creation of the Power Laces that was introduced by Blake Bevin. His design is more than alien invasion – making a lacing system possible without the aid of a person. The mechanism that Bevin implemented on this project shows the future of sneakers, when no one would go hurry while having his shoe laces untied. This prototype also gives hope to disabled individuals who can no longer tie and untie their shoe strings.
If this project is to be realized, Bevin will perhaps cater big sneaker names such as Nike, Air Jordan, Adidas, Reebok, and Converse. Being a potential product in the future, the Power Laces mechanism can have the possibility to have its full version and will be able to differentiate itself from other patents.
While waiting for the full implementation of this concept, here is a demo video of the Power Laces prototype.
