Oakley x Staple – STPL Holbrook

Jeff Staple has proven his deep respect for Oakley as a leader in eyewear design. Where many stopped at the Frogskin (though of course we have seen a Frogskin project from Staple Design), Staple took it all the way back to 1975 with the History of Oakley project, exploring and reviving some of the most design-forward creations in Oakley’s 35 year history. Now, the founder of Staple Design and Reed Space of New York is putting his mark on the more contemporary silhouette of the Holbrook. We saw a Staple-designed Holbrook from Oakley as part of the History of Oakley project; this time around, Staple’s inspiration was falling snow, as seen in the polished white frame and chrome Iridium lenses, this is a polarized and glare-reducing set of eyewear that meets both sport and style needs. Check out a larger image after the jump. Available at Colette.
